Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Education: Veterinary University
I’m originally from Kentucky, but moved to the Columbus area when I was young. I completed my undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University and then went on to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated from veterinary school in 2003. I spent three years practicing in the Cleveland area at a small animal hospital before deciding to return to Columbus to be closer to my family. I joined Cryan Veterinary Hospital in 2007.
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. Everything I did in high school and college was focused toward getting into veterinary school. I love animals. I wanted to do
whatever I could to both help animals and help people strengthen their bond to their pets. It is a wonderful thing to be surrounded by people who are as passionate about our furry family
members as I am.
My husband, Adam, and I were married in 2010. We have two children, Jane and Henry. So far, they seem to share my love of animals. We currently have a 14 year old mixed breed dog named Rocky and a 17 year old cat named Pete. They both have hit the “I need my 20 hours of sleep per day” phase of life. Eventually we are planning on adding a pet (or pets!) that will want to keep up with our very active children. For now, we are focusing on providing our current pets with a comfortable retirement.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family. We try to get our kids out to see all
the fun activities Columbus has to offer. Given the choice, though, my daughter Jane will always request to go to Mommy’s work to visit the cats and dogs. The kids are also helpful with my other passion- baking. Everyone at Cryan knows how much I love to bake. I continually subject them to my sweet experiments. Good or bad, they are always willing guinea pigs!
